New cage baler: reduce vehicle trips fivefold

To see a 3 minute video click here:

Our new cage baler can save you money:

  • reduce vehicle trips from the individual supermarket to the recycling centre fivefold
  • use your transport fleet more efficiently: return loads of empty cages dramatically reduced
  • slash fuel, drivers and the fleet numbers
  • less movements and handling

Supermarkets and logistical supply depots main beast of burden is the trolley cage, but they're not used very efficiently. Many cages are transported half empty and loosely filled. Our cage baler compacts five times so only full cages are picked up.

The cage baler is straightforward to operate (see the video). Five simple steps:

  • Move an empty cage into the chamber, close the door
  • fill the loading chamber to the level with your waste card, paper or plastic
  • start the main ram, when panel lights up add more material or during the day
  • do this five times or when the control panel stops calling for more
  • press the "eject bale" button, when cycle completes, release door, remove compacted cage.

The baler compacts to a modest 120kgs, far less than the 100t big balers that produce mill size bales at the recycling depot, but more than enough to use your fleet far more efficiently.
