This design of closed end baler is ideal for local authorities and small distribution depots. Designed and built in our Somerset workshops, it has been engineered to provide more than 20 year’s hard working life.

Delivering a 70t pressure it produces a mill size bale measuring 1530mm x 750mm x 1050mm. The pictures here show one of the first three built for our client Severnside Recycling at their Plymouth MRF depot. The installation includes conveyors, hoppers, separators and star screen.

The ME70 has been designed with four main aims in mind:

• easy to operate
• able to handle wide range of waste materials
• rugged, well proven design capable of exceeding 20 year's working life
• easy to maintain
  

A diagnostic panel shows what stage of the cycle the baler is at and pinpoints any faults in operation enabling operators to eradicate any problems on site. Several fail-safe features are built in.

The high pressure obtained enables compact bales to be achieved reducing transport costs. For example a bale of tin cans could weigh around 550kgs, news and PAMS at 700kgs, depending on the product.
