Since 1975 Middletons have been involved with designing and manufacturing heavy plant. First for the local peat extraction industry and now for the waste recycling sector.

From small beginnings, founder Ashley Middleton has now built up a talented and capable team of engineers that are able to provide practical and robust solutions to firms involved with:

• Waste paper
• Expanded Polystyrene
• Waste of all sorts including, plastic bottles, cans, textiles, glass and cardboard
• confidential shredding

Special purpose machines can be designed where standard plant is not available, eg high security paper recovery from bank note paper.

In 1987 Middletons were appointed sole UK agents for the well known Presona range of baling machines from Sweden. Considerable development work has been undertaken in Somerset to incorporate these robust machines to the varying needs of UK customers. The impressive 10,000 sq ft workshops can handle almost everything that needs to be fabricated or machined. Even the control cabinets are designed and wired up in-house.

After sales service, nationwide

The Middleton service is legendary. Over 7000 different service parts are held in stock with a mobile fleet of five vans on nationwide call. Many of our engineers have been with us since leaving school and have served a thorough apprenticeship in welding, hydraulics, machine engineering and electrical/ electronics.

Customers are found as far away as Stornoway down to Penzance – all receive the same exemplary service.
