These shredder/balers are our own design and are used by many of the major logistic distribution companies in the UK. Compacting to 47:1 the extruded blocks provide a valuable resource to the recycler. Taking into account the saving in labour and clean saleable end product most users say they recoup the cost within six months.
Two models are available, one that will bale up to 200 kgs/hr, the other 65 kgs/hr. The larger model shown on top right at Comet’s Westbury centre shows an optional conveyor that allows the spotting and removal of foreign bodies before reaching the machine, apart from making loading easier.
Slabs are fed in to an auger or series of augers which shreds the material to tennis ball size. It is then fed down into a chamber where it is condensed and forced through a stainless steel chamber, producing a nice clean block required by recyclers. The design is well proven and built to our usual robust standards. |
