For thirty years Presona of Sweden have been producing automatic balers that
are renowned for their innovative features and enviable robustness. Hundreds have
been installed throughout the world - including even Russia where they know a
thing or two about rugged plant.
Unlike many competitors that use a shear method, Presona incorporate a pre-press
system that reduces wear, saves energy and makes for quiet operation. See the
diagram on the right.
The latest development uses proportional hydraulic valves whereby the accelerating
ram decelerates as pressure is applied, reducing stress, noise and increasing
the life of all components.
All Presona machines have been made in Sweden except for the recent LP50 horizontal
baler designed and manufactured in Somerset. Because the Presona engineers recognised
that our design and manufacturing was equal to theirs, this machine also carries
the Presona badge. We're rather proud of that.

Presona Prepress Baler

1. Prepress and main press in starting positions. The press chamber is full.

2. The prepress presses the material to be baled into the chamber.

3. The main ram compresses the material using it's maximum pressure.
The feeding conveyer continues to load material onto the top of the baler prepress.

4. When the bale has reached the preset length the wiring operation starts. The main ram continues to operate.

5. The prepress opens and the material stacked on top falls into the baling chamber.
